Make this lip-smacking recipe at home and then just watch everyone appreciate your culinary skills. Be bold and don`t save the cranberry sauce just for turkey or Wiener schnitzel. It goes perfectly with cod fillets too!

Ingredients for 4 servings

4 code fillets
herbs mixture (thyme, basil, mint)
salt and pepper to taste
1 medium size onion
2-3 tbsp of water
1 teaspoon of melted butter
1 tsp cornstarch
150g cranberries
1 tsp of brown sugar

1. Place cod fillets in an oven tray and sprinkle them with salt, pepper and the herbs mixture.
2. To prepare the sauce: combine sugar and cornstarch; then boil the cranberries over medium heat in water with sugar and cornstarch until they split open. This should take around 10 minutes, but you can stir it a few minutes more and then it will thicken very nicely. Saute onion in butter and then add the cranberry sauce and simmer for another 5 minutes.
3. Bake fish for 30-35 minutes at 350°. Once ready, spoon the cranberry sauce over the code.
