It’s time you no longer order Chinese food! Double the fried green beans with shrimp and garlic with rice and you get a delicious Asian dish. Don’t be stingy on the garlic!

Ingredients for 4 servings

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
200g shrimp
Salt to taste
200g green beans
1/4 cup chicken stock
1 tablespoon Asian fish sauce
ground pepper

1. Heat a wok until very hot.
2. Add the oil and heat it until shimmering.
3. Add the garlic and stir-fry for 10-15 seconds. Then add the shrimp and just a bit of salt and stir-fry until the shrimp turns pink (around 30 seconds).
4. Add the green beans and 2 tablespoons of chicken stock and stir-fry until the beans soften, about 3 minutes. You can now add the remaining 2 tablespoons of stock together with the fish sauce and a pinch of pepper to taste, and stir-fry again until the shrimp are cooked through and the beans are crisp-tender (around 3 minutes longer). Serve right away and enjoy!
